Willingness for further training
Creating a basis for the SAP landscape
This point may sound a little trivial at first. Who tests, surely documents this? Experience shows: Yes, but often patchy. In the case of unsuccessful tests, where subsequent or additional developments are due and the cause of the error is not directly apparent at first glance, good result documentation often pays off. This saves developers time in communication and effort by re-imagining the scenario. At this point, the SAP Solution Manager offers extensive opportunities to manage templates and result documents centrally and in the individual test plans. Automated testing only Automated testing offers many advantages, whether it is a higher software quality through more comprehensive test coverage or reusability of test cases. However, it does not always make sense to use only automated test scripts. A less good choice is the test automation for frequently changing software or processes, because the maintenance effort can be enormous. At this point, it is often more effective to run manual test runs instead of spending a lot of time customising test scripts. Poor test preparation The relevant processes have been defined, the test plans have been created and the test period has begun - so can testing begin? Not always. Lack of test preparation often leads to unplanned additional time costs. Sometimes the testers were not familiar with the test environment or no one thought about taking care of a sufficient and current test data set (master data, movement data). Make sure you have thought of everything you need! (missing test data, unrepresentative test environment, unstable).

At the same time, there is a need to return the solutions to the SAP standard. A collaborative approach between departments and IT technology is required to assess IT technical and business benefits. It is also necessary to check whether the adaptation of business processes to avoid modifications to the implementation may be more effective and therefore more cost-effective. This must be evaluated and decided jointly. As a result, we recommend defining and implementing business standards for creating and maintaining solutions.

In addition to the optimisation potential of Security Automation, which I explained in more detail in my last post, the E-Learning division also offers numerous possibilities for automation. Since many companies are not yet making the most of these potentials due to a lack of knowledge about this particular form of knowledge transfer, I would like to address this in the following post. E-learning is also a form of automation that, if used correctly, brings many positive aspects. In the end, e-learning is a way to store know-how in a form that can be retrieved again and again. This means, of course, a certain initial effort for the creator, which nevertheless pays off more than if the quality is sufficient. What are the opportunities for a company to take advantage of e-learning? A company has several ways in which it can exploit and use the area of e-learning for itself. The fundamental question that should arise immediately after the decision to do so is whether the company creates the content itself or whether it relies on the content from external sources. Both have advantages and disadvantages, which I would like to explain in the following.

SAP Basis refers to the administration of SAP system that includes activities like installation and configuration, load balancing, and performance of SAP applications running on Java stack and SAP ABAP. This includes the maintenance of different services related to database, operating system, application and web servers in SAP system landscape and stopping and starting the system. Here you can find some useful information about SAP Basis: www.sap-corner.de.

The second component of the application layer is the message server. It acts as a kind of "mediator" between the services and the applications.

Tools such as "Shortcut for SAP Systems" are extremely useful in basic administration.

Entry-level employees earn just under 40,000 euros per year.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? That's what Scribble Papers is great for.

Security Automation via HR Permissions HR permissions are a very risky topic in many companies and are often only touched with silk gloves.
