The Enable Transport Recording button allows you to save the changes in the roles on a transport order. For information on the validity of the PFCG_ORGFIELD_ROLES report, see SAP Note 1624104.

Since developer authorizations correspond to full authorization, they should only be assigned restrictively. This applies above all to the authorization for "debugging with replace" (see "Law-critical authorizations"). The risk of incorrectly assigned developer authorizations has also increased due to the elimination of additional protection via developer and object keys in S/4 HANA systems (see, among other things, SAP Note 2309060). Developer authorizations for original SAP objects should therefore only be granted here upon request in order to avoid unauthorized modifications. If developer keys are still relevant in the existing SAP release, the existing developer keys in table DEVACCESS should first be checked and compared with the users intended for development.
SAP authorizations: Recommendations for setting up, monitoring and controlling
Compiling and identifying external services in the role menu of CRM business roles is tricky. We show you how to bring order to external services. In SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), the role concept is based not only on PFCG roles, but also on CRM business roles. These roles are created in customising and enable the presentation of CRM applications in the SAP CRM Web Client. In order for a user to work in SAP CRM, he needs both CRM business roles that define the user interface and the respective PFCG roles that entitle him to work in the applications. The CRMD_UI_ROLE_PREPARE report identifies and lists all external services defined in the customising of the CRM business role. These are displayed in the role menu of the PFCG role. You will notice, however, that the displayed services represent only a small part of the external services in the role menu.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? That's what Scribble Papers is great for.

If you have developed your own permission checks to use them in your own programmes or to make extensions to the SAPS standard, it is essential that you maintain the Z authorization objects as suggestion values for the respective applications. Thus, they do not have to be reworked manually in the respective roles. In addition, you have created a transparent way to document for which applications your customer's permissions are available. Last but not least, a well-managed suggestion value maintenance helps you with upgrade work on suggestion values and PFCG roles. This ensures that your changes and connections to the respective PFCG roles are retained and new permissions checks for the new release are added to the applications.

During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.

To do this, create a new view in the SE11 transaction and add the table to which the constraint will apply on the Tables/Join Conditions tab.

Then click Apply.
