Make sense in maintaining proposal values
The role menu of the PFCG role now consists of folders that represent all logical links within a scope start page, and external services that represent the logical links and the area start pages themselves. This means that any external service listed in the Role Menu is eligible for a Area Start Page or Logical Link. If such an external service is removed from the role menu and the PFCG role is generated, the user of this PFCG role does not have permissions to view this external service (see screenshot next page). You will find duplicate, maybe even triple, entries from external services. These are mainly found in the folders of the homepage and under GENERIC_OP_LINKS. You can delete them without any concern, because an external service for a permission must appear only once in the Role menu. For a better overview, it is also useful to rename the external services or folders as they are shown in the SAP CRM Web Client.

SAP Note 1854561 provides a new possible value for the auth/authorisation_trace parameter: F (Trace enabled with filter). Allows you to limit the permission trace to values that can be set by the filter. The filters are defined in the STUSOBTRACE transaction (see SAP Note 1847663).
Controlling file access permissions
There are extensive revision requirements for password rules. Learn how to define these requirements globally, which special characters are accepted by the SAP standard, and how to set the parameters for generated passwords. Do you not want to use SAP's standard password creation rules, but rather make your own password requirements for your users? Do you need to implement internal or external security requirements, such as audit requirements? You do not want to allow certain words as passwords, exclude certain special characters or change the formats of passwords generated by the SAP system? In the following we give you an overview of the possible characters, the existing profile parameters and the customising settings for passwords.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? Scribble Papers is a "note box" that makes this very easy.

After the functional specification has been removed, the implementation can begin: To do this, first create your custom authorization object and implement the permission check provided. The next step is to maintain the SU24 transaction proposal values for the respective customer transaction. To do this, call your custom-created transaction and assign the necessary authorization objects either manually by using the Object button, or use the Permissions or System Trace to assign the permissions (see Tip 40, "Using the Permissions Trace to Determine Custom Permissions Proposal Values"). You must leave the authorization objects used in the customer's own coding. For each authorization object, you can maintain field values that appear as suggestion values in the respective roles. Now all the roles concerned must be adapted. If the mixing mode for the transaction PFCG is set to On (see tip 38, "Use transactions SU22 and SU24 correctly"), all PFCG roles assigned to the transaction in the role menu will be recognised and can be remixed via the transaction SUPC. If the customer's transaction is not yet in the PFCG rolls, it will be added here and the respective PFCG role will be remixed.

Assigning a role for a limited period of time is done in seconds with "Shortcut for SAP systems" and allows you to quickly continue your go-live.

There you can decide in the year independent basic data which hierarchies you want to use.

Among other things, it must be ensured that the production system is protected against any kind of changes and therefore no direct development is possible.
