Mitigating GRC risks for SAP systems
In-house role maintenance
You can adjust these evaluation methods in the table T77AW or in the transaction OOAW. To do this, select the respective evaluation path by selecting it, and click on the evaluation path (individual maintenance) in the menu on the left. The table that appears defines the relationships between the objects. For SAP CRM only the objects Organisational Unit (O), Headquarters (S), Central Person (CP) and User (US) play a role. For simplicity, you can now copy the lines that use the Person (P) object. Enter a new number here and replace the object P with the object CP.

Only adding an authorization object via SU24 does not automatically result in a check within the transaction. The developer has to include an authorization check exactly for this object in the program code.
Note the maintenance status of permissions in roles and their impact
Eligibility objects that were visible in the permission trace are quickly inserted in rolls. But are they really necessary? Are these possibly even critical permissions? A review of the Permissions Concept can reveal that critical permissions are in your end-user roles. We would like to give you some examples of critical permissions in this tip. It is helpful to know which authorization objects are covered by the critical permissions. They must also ask themselves whether the granting of these allowances entails risks.

To store all the information on the subject of SAP - and others - in a knowledge database, Scribble Papers is suitable.

A careless handling of the permissions with sensitive employee data can go quite nicely in the pants. Prevent uncontrolled and extensive reporting access to your HCM data by properly using the P_ABAP authorization object. In many companies, the correct use of P_ABAP is not known. As a result, there are often false expressions that, in the worst case, allow uncontrolled reporting access to all data in the logical database PNPCE (or PNP). This way, you can again erase your access restrictions, which were previously painstakingly defined in a permission concept. Therefore, it is necessary to test the use of P_ABAP in individual cases and to use the existing limitations. In the following we describe the logic behind this authorization object and what it is important to avoid.

Assigning a role for a limited period of time is done in seconds with "Shortcut for SAP systems" and allows you to quickly continue your go-live.

Only then will the further tests be carried out.

This only takes into account the applications that are maintained in the role menus of the selected PFCG roles.
