Coordinate authorisation management in customer-owned programmes
When you select the row with the parameter transaction you created and click on the Suggest values button, the S_TABU_NAM authorization object is automatically created with the correct suggestion values, i.e. the table name in the transaction SU24. Check these suggestion values by clicking Yes in the S_TABU_NAM column. You will now end up in a view from the transaction SU24 and can check in the tables authorization objects and Permission Proposition Values (for all authorization objects) which changes to the object S_TABU_NAM have been made automatically. For more information and implementation guidance, use SAP Note 1500054. The SAP Note also provides the SUSR_TABLES_WITH_AUTH analysis report, which specifies table permissions for users or individual roles. This report checks at user or single-role level which tables have permissions based on the S_TABU_DIS or S_TABU_NAM authorization objects. The report does not check whether the user has the transaction startup permissions that are also necessary, such as S_TCODE. For example, if you check what table permissions a particular user has based on the S_TABU_DIS authorization object, you will receive information about the table names, the associated table permission group, and the eligible activities. Granting permissions to access tables directly is flexible and useful, and is not recommended unless the mechanism is hammered out by giving the user general table access through generic maintenance tools.
No matter what the reason, it is quickly said that a new authorization concept is needed. But this is not always the case. And if it is, the question is which authorization concept in SAP HCM is the right one. Yes, exactly which concept, because in SAP HCM there are three ways to implement an authorization concept.
ACCESS CONTROL | AUTHORIZATION MANAGEMENT FOR SAP®
Every action of the emergency user must be traceable, which requires the appropriate configuration of logging components such as the Security Audit Log. After the event, all log files are always evaluated and all details are recorded in documentation. It is also possible to specify in the concept that, in the event of an emergency, extended authorization may be granted to other selected users; this is up to the company to decide.
A note box in which data of all kinds can be quickly filed and retrieved. This is what Scribble Papers promises. At first, the program looks very spartan. But once a small structure is in place, you realise the great flexibility of this little helper.
A troublesome scenario you're probably familiar with: You will soon be going live with a new business process and must now derive your roles in 97 accounting circles. Here eCATT can make your life easier. It's time again: If you don't have anyone in your department who likes to press the Copy button for several hours in the PFCG transaction, replace the Derive shortcut, and then customise the Organisation Levels (Origen) in the new roles on the Permissions tab (repeatedly connected to memory), the job will hang on you. Because there is hardly anything more boring, at the latest after one hour the first errors creep in. Whenever you have to roll out new roles, for example for your new premium business, to all your divisions, plants, etc. , the creation of the derived roles is tedious - because SAP does not offer smart mass maintenance.
With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you can automate the assignment of roles after a go-live.
You want to maintain suggestion values for existing applications, but are you tired of the time-consuming manual maintenance? There's a new way! Maintenance of proposed values can vary greatly depending on company specifications or security guidelines.
After all entries have been made, you must secure the project.
