User Information System SUIM
Customise Permissions After Upgrade
You want to document internal system revisions and authorisation monitoring? The new cockpit of the Audit Information System offers you some practical functions. There are several legal requirements that require a regular audit of your SAP system. As a general rule, there are internal and external auditors who carry out such audits. In addition, user and permission management can set up their own monitoring of permissions to avoid unpleasant surprises during audits. Auditor documentation is often standardised in the case of external auditors; for the internal audit or your own monitoring, however, in many cases a suitable documentation is missing. In spite of automated evaluations, external auditors often also demand an activation of the Audit Information System (AIS). We will show you how to activate the AIS and take advantage of the new AIS cockpit.

We would like to point out that after defining and implementing a authorization object, you should no longer change the permission field list, as this will cause inconsistencies. Once you have determined that you want to add more fields to your check, assign your authorization object to the AAAA object class and create a new authorization object.
Make sense in maintaining proposal values
If you want to cancel, share, or reset other users' jobs to scheduled status, you must have permission for the S_BTCH_ADM object with a value of Y. Alternatively, you can also grant the JOBACTION = MODI and JOBGROUP = permission for the S_BTCH_JOB object. The MODI promotion was introduced with SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.00 or can be recorded via SAP Note 1623250. The following illustration shows an example of how the JOBACTION = MODI privilege is expressed for the jobs of the users listed under JOBGROUP.

The freeware Scribble Papers is a "note box" in which all kinds of data can be stored. It takes in typed texts as well as graphics and entire documents. The data is then organised in folders and pages.

The permissions in the NWBC are handled as well as in the normal SAP Easy Access menu. For example, you can assign transactions and Web Dynpro applications to the individual and collection roles in a defined menu structure in the Role menu. The navigation structure of the NWBC reflects the menu structure and settings of the corresponding PFCG role assigned to the user. The folder structure of the Role menu directly affects the navigation bar that is displayed to the user in the NWBC.

During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.

In the PARENT_ID field, you will find the parent item's object ID, and the MENU_LEVEL field describes the level of the entry in the favourite folder structure.

The permissions on database objects show you the details of the user's permissions to access the object.
